say that if you were playing right side defense, how would you try to change the game around by using tricks and what tricks would you use against them. i am right defender but sometimes the ball gets through me and i have to go back and kick it out of the area yet they still come behind me and get the ball.

you really don't want to use tricks on defense, you have a bigger chance of letting the other team score. all you need to do is contain your opponent then step to them at the right time but don't lunge or stand straight. try and stand on an angle towards the sideline so you are facing them out. then tackle. but if you cant. just contain them. if you can tackle, or if you have the ball and an opponent is coming towards you, slide the ball to the outside of the field and move around the defender. its the easiest way. or if you really need to, drop it back to your sweeper or goalie, or even just boot the ball up the field if its an emergency

you can try this move...our coaches call it the watootsie i no its a goofy name but it really works...what u go is u take ur foot that i doont normally shoot with and step over the ball then u take ur right foot an push the ball to the side that ur going for

cougar spin is ok, i wouldn't rely on it tho. as a defender you want to avoid unneeded tricks. keep it simple and always play safe. cause no one will punish you for just kicking it out, but if you mess and and give away a goal... then you're in trouble.

You can try what we call a cougar spin. This takes months of practice to master. This will only work when you beat them to the ball and just enough time to turn around and try it. If it fails and nobody is there to back you up then they will score most likely.

Hope this helps, if you want more info on it just let me know

i learned that you need to look at the ball and hips of the person. i used to always look at the feet and trip up till a friend told me not to do that. add jack hill as a friend and ask him advise, he's good at defence.
