Goalie in need
Hey fellow soccer players and goalies, I'm a pretty good goalie but I am caught going outside of the box a lot when they're on breakaways. Often I get the ball but I also get beat every now and then. I do this because i have poor judgement of which way they are going with the ball when they kick it. I am a big guy and I intimidate most people I charge toward when trying to shut down the breakaway. How can I tell which they are going with the ball??

I agree with monica, also try timing your runs more. if you over commit you make it easier for them to get past you.

try to watch their hips. that usually gives them away. you could just slide into them also. not like a slide tackle, but with your upper body in front of the ball. that works most of the time for me.
