what pitches do you throw on the hill?
just say what pitches you throw and you can even tell how nasty they are. i throw 2 seam, slip change, splitty, and a late break curve.

i throw a 4-seam, 2-seam, 12-7 curve, knuckleball, and a knuckle-curve. i can't throw very hard, but i use the 2- and 4-seam as a 2-0 or 3-0 pitch that i know that they wont swing at. my curve is usually my __-2 payoff-pitch. if i get into a jam, then i throw the knuckleball; somehow it always freezes up batters and i dont even throw it that well. i dont usually throw the knucks-curve unless they're about ready to pull me. that usually ensures me a couple more innings.

Jacob Posted: Jun 22, 2008 at 03:22 AM EDT

i just turned 15, right handed... 77 mph four seam, low 70's two seam, 12-6 and 3-7 curveballs, low 70's cutter, circle change at low-mid 60's

Ryan Posted: Jun 20, 2008 at 02:42 AM EDT

I throw a fastball around 75 with a little late movement down, a circle change that drops a bit, a 12-6 curve that falls in slowly, and a sweeping curve that starts at a righty's head and breaks to the middle of the plate. Im also working on a slider which moves almost as fast as my fastball, but the movement is always different. Is there any way I can fix this?

Rob Posted: Jun 13, 2008 at 10:41 PM EDT

I throw my 2-seam fastball with run and my 4-seam fastball that cuts around the mid to high 80s, a knuckle curve that drops off the table, a circle change that throws batters for a loop, and a decent knuckleball.

Brett Posted: Jun 13, 2008 at 02:15 PM EDT

I've just had the pleasure of being the Braves #1 draft pick for 2008 and I throw a hard slider somewhere around 82-84 mph, but my best out pitch is my change-up.

Tylar Posted: Jun 13, 2008 at 01:49 PM EDT

i just graduated but play in an amature-semipro wood bat league in KC. i have a plethera of pitches to chose from but only 4 or 5 are usually on, on any given day. mostly my cutter, 4 seam, 2 seam, that all reach mid to low 80s, and my spike curve works the best but my sinker is my fav pitch to watch a hitter look like a little leaguer. i also hae a circle change, fork ball, splitter, knuckle curve, slider, 12-6, and a nasty knuckle that is either a strike or in the back stop

I'm am a junior in high school i throw from the mid to low 80's with a 2 to 7 slurve an 83mph sinker and a nasty two seamer that runs back a few inches, and i usually throw in a few wild card pitches every now and then from a changeup, to a knuckle-curve, or even a cutter to whatever is workin that day

Rob Posted: Jun 13, 2008 at 01:11 PM EDT

i throw mid to low 70's, im 15 i throw a 4 seam fastball, a 2 seam fastball, a 12-8 curve, a palmball and ill mix in a splitter to lefty's and a knucklecurve to righty's

Tre Posted: Jun 13, 2008 at 01:10 PM EDT

I thow a killer 4 seam that i can slow down at will and have hitters baffles on wheter its a changeup or a fastball. A nasty sweeping curve that locks right handers up and somtimes will lock up leftys on the outer half. a 12-6 curve that has hitters lookin like their playin golf and i have a 2 seam that has some nice break that breaks away from lefteys and has them reachin like crazy and righteys think the balls comin in to hit them and i'm workin on a knuckle

Steven Posted: Jun 12, 2008 at 05:47 AM EDT

I throw an 87 mph cutter, splitter that breaks into a right hander, and a 3-9 slider and has some down movement on it. I used to throw a curve but my elbow was hurting to bad to throw it effectively in a game

Michael Posted: Jun 11, 2008 at 03:45 AM EDT

im a freshmen pitcher whos been pitching for a year my fastball can reach 84mph it runs in toward the right handed batter,i have a 3 fingerd change up that breakes a couple inches, sometimes,it still needs work, and i throw a 12/6 curveball whitch i threw to my bro and it went from his head to his leg and left a knot........anyway if anyone who wants to give advice to a young pitcher it will be very much appreciated

Josh Posted: Jun 08, 2008 at 07:51 PM EDT
