i like track cause i like the speed and the events better

Alexia Posted: Nov 03, 2008 at 09:49 PM EST

track...it's only 2 miles long and it's flat.

Hannah Posted: Aug 06, 2008 at 01:01 PM EDT

XC is so much better, I just get so bored just running around a track.

Tyler Posted: Jul 27, 2008 at 01:11 AM EDT

I prefer CC over track. I'm thinking about not running track this spring and just wrestling in weekend tournaments because there is a lot of them in the spring. Then when summer comes round I'll start CC training again.

I like Cross Country so much better than Track. Personally Track is girly in my opinion but I've never done Track. I might go out for it in the Spring but we'll see.

i love them both the same but i like xc better b/c like its not sprinters and distance the jumpers and things its just the whole team and there is who ran the most or anything and then in xc the guys and girls r alot closer then just go to a few meets we always at each others meets love it

Aaron Posted: Jul 04, 2008 at 10:09 AM EDT

I like aspects of both but I would have to say I like track better(although in track, I sprint). This is mostly becuz I am not really all that good in XC(faster than a lot of people but nearly as fast as many others) and, in track, I am in the top portion of sprinters. I am quite fast(almost made it to Sections in the 200M, was one place off, needed 4th and i came in 5th only about .5 sec behind, and my relay was just one place off from going to State).

I'm totally with xc, i like the courses to change up than running in circles and xc is more chalenging in my opinion

Aaron Posted: Jun 14, 2008 at 01:30 PM EDT

Gotta be xc. At my school the team is closer in cross than track. Track is all individual except for our 4x8 and 4x4.

Megan Posted: Jun 14, 2008 at 01:24 AM EDT

wow did someone seriously just ask what the difference is? haha. i definitely like xc better. it's more fun at my school at least because the girls & guys teams are so close we basically do everything together. and i like changing up the courses & stuff.

travis Posted: Jun 08, 2008 at 01:13 PM EDT

id have to agree with mackenzi cuz the 800 sucks balls but ive been to a couple of hell courses in my day so croos is really hard to but im a polevaulter so id have to say track

Matt Posted: Jun 03, 2008 at 01:33 AM EDT

well i like xc better because the courses are different and your not just runnin in an oval shape an best 3.1 17:33 as fresman

Jasmin Posted: May 31, 2008 at 09:12 AM EDT

if you cant run xc you dont have any base for the other 2 seasons, i run 21:15 for the 3.1 and 17:10 for the 2.5 mile, i think xc is more fun running up hills and stuff instead of going in circles but i like indoor and outdoor but there mentally harder then xc i think, since you need a lot of distance running at practice to be strong in the 3.1 mile once you get to the race your likei do this everyday. i used to have to run 40 - 45 miles a week to train for xc

Betty Posted: May 30, 2008 at 08:11 PM EDT

Cross-country. I have more endurance as oppose to speed.

Eric Posted: May 30, 2008 at 05:45 PM EDT

i like track but cross country definitly owns track. my best is a 16:42 5k as a sophomore what do you guys run for times?

Steve Posted: May 28, 2008 at 05:19 PM EDT

real runners run xc

i think XC is better, because it is more of a test of ur endurance and mentallity...track is just a few laps around a circle, or throwing a rock (or disc), or jumping over a string, where ur surroundings never change. In XC however, no two courses are the same, and it is nice to have a change of scenary... and in XC you cant just come out there right after another sport and not put any effort in and still do well (unlike in track, with the ex-basketball players, and swimmers). You really have to be 110% dedicated to it, and work your a$$ off in order to succeed...i love XC

Bryan Posted: May 22, 2008 at 08:23 AM EDT

xc is more fun, but for track i like to see how fast my times are. on a 5k course its hard to judge how fast you should go because no 2 courses are the same.

Joel Posted: May 20, 2008 at 11:57 PM EDT

Cross country is better because you have to run on a terrain that changes throughout the race and therefore shows the truly better runners than those who can just run in circles very fast.

Jeff Posted: May 20, 2008 at 09:50 PM EDT

I say cross country is better. It takes longer to train for and takes a little more effort. It's also more impressive to others. (also when track season comes around, the XC kids usually beat the track runners in the sprints)

Matt Posted: May 20, 2008 at 09:25 PM EDT

Tracks the best

Mackenzi Posted: May 20, 2008 at 06:37 PM EDT

XC definatly. although track is a harder sport...considering i run the 800 but xc is a lot more fun

Scott Posted: May 20, 2008 at 06:26 PM EDT

prob track

Alec Posted: May 20, 2008 at 05:37 PM EDT

IMA TRACKSTAR BAYBEE!

chris Posted: May 07, 2008 at 05:43 PM EDT

Yeah, definitely track - there are more events than just running. I mean, who runs that far for fun?!

nicole Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:37 PM EDT

well they both involve running. but i think i'm more into the high jumps! so i say....... TRACK!
