Dunking Overrated?
yeah, dunking looks nice on a highlight film, but it's still 2 points, just like a lay-up. and u can get seriously injured, i'm talking career ending injuries.....what do u think?

dunking is not overrated, it is much more intimidating if you dunk on someone and it gets the crowd and your team mates way more hyped than a lay-up, its a higher percentage shot because if you dunk the ball your at the rim and can put the ball through, if you do a lay-up you have more of a chance to miss

I say dunking is overrated... Like you said, you dont have to risk hurting yourself for a fancy spin move and a dunk.

Even though im about 4-6 inchs away from bein able to dunk, and the goal is to work on my jumping, i wouldnt do it in a game, or anything like that.

i'd rather shoot a 3 than dunk any day. 3 is bigger than 2.

i just think its showboating....i've heard all these stories about dudes goin up trying to dunk and ending their careers in the process. and they say,"all i had to do was lay the ball up."

dunkin is seriously way OVERRATED!! jus cuz u can dunk doesn't mean u can play tha game.. so what if someone dunks it's only 2 points that doesn't even matter if u can light up 3's all night!!

Its good if you can do it without injuring yourself and with out looking like a show off

no its not overrated at all, for real if it wasnt for dunking basketball would not be as fun to watch or to play.
