    • What is TAKKLE?

      TAKKLE is the first online social network for sports. TAKKLE provides one place for all amateur athletes, coaches and fans to come together in an web based community. TAKKLE's advanced tools provide everything you need to manage your schedule, stats, photos, videos and friends.

      Created to help amateur athletes succeed, the site brings all sports together in one place. Athletes can organize their sports life, track their performance, make friends and network, and have the ability to compare their talent and potential to others across the whole country. You can create your own profile, post your stats, check in with your favorite groups, participate in class discussions, instantly look up info on opposing teams and rivals, check out your stats from last night's game, watch video footage of your best moves, connect with other players, and so much more.

      At the end of your season, TAKKLE makes it easy to get in front of recruiters across the country. You can create the "TAKKLE Sheet" - a one-page snapshot of your stats and all your personal info - and email it to any college coach in the country. Our TAKKLE Advisors, a collection of top coaches and former NCAA stars, have already committed to using the TAKKLE Sheet as part of their recruiting processes.

    • What is "Trash Talk"?
      Like talking smack to people on the court, letting them know why their team will lose, or the banter on the infield between innings; that's Trash Talk.
    • What's Gear?
      Are those Air Jordans or the new LeBrons you're wearing on the court? What cleats make you blow by that cornerback? Ever wanted to know what bat or glove the top players are using? That's Gear.
    • Is TAKKLE only for athletes?
      Not at all. TAKKLE is for everyone involved or interested in high school sports, including athletes, students, coaches, and fans.
    • How do I edit my personal information?
      Just click on the blue Edit Account button below your profile photo. If you want to change your Favorite Athletes, Teams, Interests, etc., click the blue links on the lower left of your profile page. Then type in the text fields - your edits are automatically saved.

  • Registration and Login

    • What if I forgot my password?
      That's cool - just click on the "Forget Your Password?" link in the box that pops up after you click the Sign In link on the home page, and we'll email your info to you.
    • How do I change my password?
      Click on the blue Edit Account button below your profile photo, then click on the "Change Password" link.

  • Photos

    • How can I add photos to my profile page?
      Click the Upload Photos link, which is half way down your home page, on the right. Then click "Browse" to select the photo file from your computer. Pick the photo you want, and press "Open." From there, you can add a title and tags to your photo. Once you are set, click the "submit" button and you're all set!
    • How do I add/change my default picture?
      To change the default photo on the top left of your home page, click the blue "browse" button below your photos on your home page. Choose your new default photo by clicking the star icon underneath the photo you want.
    • How do I delete a photo?
      Click the blue "browse" button below your photos on your home page. Then click the minus icon below the photo you want to remove.
    • What are keyword Tags?
      Keyword tags are any word(s) that you want associated to the picture or video you've just uploaded. By adding keyword tags to your photos and videos, you'll allow other members of TAKKLE to easily browse through photos and videos based on their keyword tags. So, if you upload a picture of yourself on vacation in Florida, you can tag your photo to "Florida" so when other people browse through photos they will easily find your picture if they are looking for pictures tagged to the word "Florida".
    • What are Team/People/Game/Group Tags?
      These tags are meant to make it easy for you to tag your friends, teams, games, and groups to a picture you've uploaded. So if you want to tag your buddy Frank in a picture of him, go for it; you can also tag the photo to a specific sports game, a specific team, or a group.
    • What do I do when I see an offensive photo?
      You can anonymously report the photo by clicking the button with the exclamation sign inside the triangle next to the image. A form will appear, and you'll have to write down why you think the photo is a problem. From there, a TAKKLE customer service representative will evaluate the photo and take further action if necessary.
    • How do I add someone else's photo to my gallery?
      You can easily add any photo on TAKKLE to your gallery by clicking the plus icon below each photo.
    • What does adding a photo to my gallery do?
      Adding a photo to your gallery allows your friends to easily view all the photos on TAKKLE you think are worth checking out. It also gives you the chance to make those photos your profile picture! When your friends go to your gallery, they will be able to see all the photos you've uploaded yourself as well as any other photos you've added to your gallery.
    • What photo formats are accepted on TAKKLE?
      Right now, TAKKLE supports JPEG and GIF files.
    • What is the maximum file size for a picture uploaded on TAKKLE?
      The max size is 2MB. If your photo exceeds the limit, try a smaller version.

  • Videos

    • How do I upload a video to TAKKLE?>
      Click the Upload Videos link, which is half way down your home page, on the right. Then click "Browse" to select the video file from your computer. Pick the video you want, and press "Open." While the video is uploading, type in a name, description and tags. You can also enter your video into the contests at the bottom of the page. Then click the Submit button. Be patient, it takes a minute or two for your video to appear in your gallery.
    • How long do my videos stay on TAKKLE?
      Videos stay on TAKKLE until the members choose to take them down. Videos which violate our terms and conditions, and have been reported by other users may be taken down by TAKKLE.
    • What are accepted video formats on TAKKLE?
      Acceptable formats include: .wmv, .flv, .avi, .mpg, .mp4 and .mov.
    • What is the maximum size of a video that I can upload on TAKKLE?
      The max size is 100MB. Upload as many videos as you want, enter contests, and show us your best highlights!
    • Why isn't my video playing? (troubleshooting?)
      Check to see if you have uploaded the right file format. If you have, send us an email to feedback@takkle.com. We'll get in touch, and figure out how we can make sure your video goes live.
    • How do I report a video for inappropriate content?
      You can anonymously report the video by clicking the button with the exclamation sign inside the triangle next to the image.   • Friends

    • How do I add someone as my friend?
      Search for your friend by typing their name or school in the white text field on the upper right of any page (to the right of the "SI Faces" button). When your friend shows up, just click the "Add as friend" button below their picture - it's the icon with the little person and "+" sign. They will then be asked to confirm if you are their friend or not. If they say yes, you will have a new friend!
    • If I reject someone as a friend, will they find out?
      No. Nothing will show up on their page. That person will just not appear as your friend.

    • What are Takkle Trophies?
      Want to get "props" for your activity on the Takkle site? Takkle Trophies is a great way to get recognized for things your already do the site. Earn trophies when you add friends, upload photos & videos, create & win Throwdowns, or create & receive a nomination for S.I. Faces.

  • Groups

    • How do I join a group?
      You can join any "public" group, or any group that you have permission to join. These groups can be found using the search box on the upper right of any page. Just type in the name or a keyword for the group you want to find and specify that you are looking for "Groups." Alternatively, you can browse Featured, Most Recent, Most Viewed, and Most Members from the main Groups page. When you find the group you are looking for, click on the "Join this group" button - it's the icon of two people and a plus sign.
