I swim the 100 back and 200 free. I've only been swimming for a year but I was doing pretty good and I had dropped 11 seconds in my back. Then my doctor told me I had to sit out for a month cause I had Tendonitis and when i got back i gained all my time back and then some. Well that was right beofre the end of the season. I need some advice on how to lose my time without straining my shoukder again. Help me please.

I wish i could help with the brest stroke, but i suck @ it. I can't even do a 3 minute breast stroke let alone 2 minute. Good luck on dropping it though. oh an as far as dropping 10th of a sec, it comes down to what your time is in it. It is a sprinting event so you are not expected to drop a bunch of time in the event.

your 200 fr should be either built or sprinted. if you don't have the stamina to sprint it then you need to build it by 50. first 50 will be about a practice pace (aka 70%), second one you should pick it up some, but make sure you have energy for the 2nd half (aka 80%), 3rd you want to really show what you got, but still don't kill yourself (aka 90%) and then last 50 give all you have!!!! and that should give you a really good time as well as good splits! :)
