Obviously competitive cheer is a sport. Hello, we have CIF and nationals so &&!* what everyone esle says. Now little puny baby cheerleaders that wave there hands and are all on fball players nuts, are not exactly what I'd call athletic. But !!!@ neither are those lttle puny freshmen on ANY team. I understand that whole argument about those little ra-ras who yell on the side line, but for us beasts who lift people, and tumble, I dont know anything thats more sport like.

i agree. competition cheerleading is a sport. we do waaaayy more than other athletes. a football player couldnt even put the lightest weight girl on the team in a one man lib without dropping her 10 seconds later. we need practice!! its a sport!

I am really sick of hearing that cheerleading in not a sport it is one of the hardest SPORTS out there...why doesn't everyone try it then if they think that it isn't!! one girl said that anyone can do cheerleading...yeah ok i'd like to see her try...it takes a lot of strength to throw people in the air and a lot of stamina to scream and cheer throughout an entire game!! competition cheer is also the same way you have to talk and cheer and move your body all at the same time!! that takes a lot of coordination!!! so all you haters i would love to see you try!!
