Soccer

Soccer is the best thing thats ever happened to me, I play for u-16 Concorde Fire Elite(rated top 10 club in the nation). I play striker,left/right mid, and occasionally stopper for concorde. In this past season i had 8 goals and 12 assists in 15 games. We won 3 tournaments in the fall and were competing in 5 during the spring, and state cup in the summer. Ive played varsity soccer for my high school since my freshman year. I was MVP last year as a freshman and i had 11 goals and 20 assists all season. I played striker or center mid. I play year round and when I dont have games or tournaments going on i train with Concordes u-16 boys national team which is the best practice you can get. I work out or run every day and im in the best shape ive ever been. I do something every day to make me a better soccer player because i will end up playing in college and hopefully professionally.

Its part of them, the love/hate relationship. its what they live for. They live for the practices, parties, cheers, long bus rides, invitationals, countless pairs of different types of shoes, water, Gatorade, & coaches you hate but appreciate. They live for the way it feels when they beat the other team, and knowing those two extra sprints they ran in practice were worth it. They live for the way they become a family with their team, they live for the countless songs they sing in their head while training all those hours. They live for the competition, they live for the friends, the practices, the memories, the pain, its who they are. It's who we are. WE ARE ATHLETES.
