• I've been a starter for varsity softball as a catcher since my freshman year. My freshman, sophomore, and junior years I made the 1st Team All-Section Team; the first two for catching and the last one for pitching. I have made the All-South Pennsylvania Team for catching my freshman and sophomore year and for pitching my junior and senior year. I have also made Female Athlete of the Week for the Pittsburgh Tribune Review my junior year and I have been named Player of the Year for the Daily News my junior year. I have also recently been selected as the ESPN Army Athlete of the Week. I have also ben selested as the 2009 Daily News Softball player of the Year (2nd year in a row & never been done before) and the 2009 Daily News Female Athlete of the Year (receiving both in the same yr has never happened before) This year I am pitching because we have no pitcher to take our old pitchers spot. I have also been the captain of my high school team since I was a freshman. I've also led the batting average and RBIs for the team since my freshman year. In playoffs I hit a homerun that was estimated to be 320ft over the fence, over a concession stand, into the next field onto the pitcher's mound. We have been section champs all 4yrs of my high school career. I also play travel ball where I have been captain for all 8 years. In tournaments I have been selected game MVP over 30 times. I am also a very good switch hitter. During my sophomore year my team made school history by making it to states and winning a game and going as far as quarterfinals where we ended up ranked 5th in states. Also we made history by making it to the WPIAL championship game where we came in 2nd. I graduated with gold chords as a high honor student with a GPA of 3.8 and in a few AP classes.

My names Kristen Hawkins I'm 18 yrs old and I am a senior in high school. I go to Elizabeth Forward High in the small town of Elizabeth Pennsylvania. I grew up on sports and I love em more than anything! I am a catcher and one of the top and most recognized in my state. I also play basketball and I'm not too bad at that either.
