Scouting Report

Baseball Factory

A slender and athletic looking left handed pitcher with command of a fastball that reaches 90 mph. His breaking ball has shown tight rotation and action at times. As he gains more body control in his delivery, his overall stuff and effectiveness should improve quite a bit.

i wonder what would have happened if some of those players would have just poked their bat out there. he seems like a pretty consistent pitcher. pretty nice arm strength and a great curve. potential ML? i think so

Just wanted to give you an update on Tyler. He now has over 50 career wins and over 600 career strike outs. Last Friday night in the 2nd round of the playoffs his fastball sat at 93-94 mph. He touched 96 mph. His curve did a lot more than "showed action at times." It is almost un-hittable. He struck out many with the slider too. It is a great pitch. This kid is a legit 1st round draft pick. That scouting report needs to be updated and changed to tell what his fastball, curve, and slider really do. This is a good site though.

One of the best pitchers i've ever seen. The Alabama highschool record book says it all. Not only can he pitch but he can hit too. He was hitting 93 and 94 last week in his 14 strike out performance to clinch the area championship. He topped out at 96 mph last year in the state championship. Stays at 91-93 but its good to know that he can touch it. That curve is devastating. Also throws the slider, split, and circle change for strikes. I see him pitch everytime he throws in games and at practice so I know what kind of stuff he has and how good it is. He should deff. move towards the top of your list. One heck of a ball player and a kid.

Definitely underrated. Scouting report says breaking ball shows action "at times". Look at the video. Breaking ball and slider both have good action. Just broke AL Career Strikeout Record and Career Wins. Also a great hitter; see 2007 Stats.

He is the best the state of alabama has ever produced as a left handed pitcher. He can throw 92 to 93tops. He has excellant movement on all pitches. Set alabama state single season strikeout record last year as 11th grader. Also had a 18-1 won loss season which is also best in alabama state history. Is only 1 win away from tying alabama state career wins record and with 2 more wins he has the record. He batted over .515 last year and hit 14 homers in leading his team to its 5th straight state championship. he has been a starter since 8th grade and earlier this year (2008) he had a no hitter against a larger 5-A school and the very next game he pitched he had a perfect game against another 5-A team. There were 34 major league scouts were on hand for the no hitter game . He is also on schedule to be his high school valedictorian in May 2008. He is quite an impressive young man and is really exciting to watch. Great head on his shoulders. Last summer he was selected as the only high school pitcher to play on the USA Pan Am team.
