Hi my name's Ashley Nichols. I'm a senior at Belle Vernon Area High School and will be graduating in June 2009. I haven't decided on which college I want to go to yet. Hopefully I'll be recruited by a good D1 or D2 school, let's hope :) I lettered every year in high school. I started as varsity pitcher for my high school team my sophmore year. That year, we tied for our section and ended up winning the first ever WPIAL title in softball in school history. My sophmore year we made history by being the first team ever to make it to states. My sophmore year, we made history again by winning WPIALS, winning our first game of states, and making it to the quarter finals. My junior year, we made history AGAIN by making it to the WPIAL Championship game for the 2nd consecutive year, and making it all the way to the semi-finals in states. Next year hopefully we'll be making more historical moments. My sophmore year I was awarded player of the week twice, made it for all-section, and was the youngest player named to the MSA Sports All-Star team. I ended the year with 3 no-hitters and 10 shutouts along with 185k's and an ERA of 1.013. This past year I improved my number of k's to 208.
