• In 2007, the Lely High School sophomore won the coveted Florida State High School Singles Championship in Tampa as she dominated her opponent and duplicated the feat of her older brother Keith, who won his state title in 2006.

About Me:

My name is Lauren Embree. I have been playing competitive tennis since I was eight years old and have been ranked in the top 5 since I was 12. Currently I am ranked 2 in the United States in the 18 and younger division and 115 in the world in the junior division. I have traveled all over the U.S. and Europe. I represented the U.S. in the Junior Fed Cup last September in Italy. I also went with a USTA group to France, and Germany for tournaments back in 2005. I won the Narional 16 Hard Courts singles and doubles, earning me a wild card into the Junior US Open in 2006. My two big wins this past summer was a $10,000 level pro tournament and and 18 and under National Clay court tournament. Over the past six years I have won 23 gold, silver, and bronze USTA balls, representing first, second, and third place in the National tournaments. For the next nine months I plan on playing professional and international junior tournaments and then attending college in the fall of 2009.
