I'll take the Rays in 7...I just don't see the magic running out on them..If they do win it all, it will be the biggest slap in the face to every GM in MLB with a payroll over $80 million...you don't need big egos who hit 30 meaningless homers and drive in 75-100 meaningless runs (you know, the Sammy Sosa kind of run production when you're down 8-1 in the 8th inning)..Teams need BASEBALL players..guys who can be patient and take a walk, hit to the runner over to third, hit a fly ball with a guy on third and less than 2 outs, occasionally hit the long ball, hit with RISP when the game is still on the line, pitch smart (like throwing curves off the plate to buffoons like Alfonso Soriano) catch the damn ball in the infield, track down shots in the gap, take the extra base..a large percentage of important variables to a winning team is NOT in a box score or does not get you points in a fantasy league..it just wins games!!
